It wasn't until after four years of university, a bachelors degree in civil engineering and several years in the workforce that I thought to wonder whether my love of fantastical stories could ever lead to something more. It then took a few more years for anything tangible to emerge from that wondering.

What is one supposed to do when a glorified writing exercise turns out to have a life of its own? A sane answer might be to get a good night sleep, touch some grass and then put such an upstart idea in its rightful place, which in this case is probably locked in a magical chest and tossed into the deepest depths of the most dangerous seas. I however chose a different path... I let the story drag me around willy-nilly until rather suddenly, I find myself writing a blurb about why I wrote it in the first place...
